A machine tool model is a product code that concisely represents the machine tool's type, performance, structural features, and main technical parameters. How is a machine tool model compiled? What are the specifications for the machine tool model format?

Machine tool model compilation method: The model of a machine tool is the code of the machine tool product, which is used to indicate the type of machine tool, general and structural characteristics, main technical parameters, etc. The machine tool model is the code of the machine tool product, and each country has its own method for compiling machine tool models.

GB/T15375-94 "Method for Compiling Metal Cutting Machine Tool Models" stipulates that my country's machine tool models are composed of Chinese pinyin letters and Arabic numerals according to a certain pattern.

 

1. Model compilation of general machine tools

The representation method of general machine tool models is:

② The characters with "○" are uppercase Chinese phonetic letters;

③ The numbers with "△" symbol are Arabic numerals;

④ Those with the "△" symbol are uppercase Chinese phonetic letters or Arabic numerals or both.

In order to distinguish machine tools with the same main parameters but different structures, Chinese phonetic letters are used in the model number. For example, the "A" in the model number of the CA6140 general lathe can be understood as: the CA6140 general lathe is different in structure from the C6140 general lathe.

(4) Group and series code of machine tools

It is represented by two Arabic numerals, the first representing a group and the second representing a series. Each type of machine tool is divided into 10 groups, and each group is divided into 10 series. Within the same type of machine tools, those with essentially the same primary layout or scope of use are considered to be in the same group. Within the same group, those with the same primary parameters, main structure, and layout are considered to be in the same series.

(5) Main parameters of the machine tool, design sequence number and second parameters

Machine tool main parameters: represents the size of the machine tool specifications. In the machine tool model, the converted value of the main parameters is given in numbers (1/10 or 1/150)

Design sequence number: When it cannot be expressed by a main parameter, the design sequence number is used in the model.

The second parameter is generally the number of spindles, maximum span, maximum working length, worktable working surface length, etc., which is also expressed in converted values.

(6) Sequence number of major improvements to machine tools

When there are significant improvements in machine tool performance and structural layout, the major improvement sequence number A, B, C, etc. is added to the end of the original machine tool model.

(7) Other characteristic codes: Indicated by Chinese phonetic letters or Arabic numerals or a combination of the two. Mainly used to reflect the characteristics of various types of machine tools. For example, for CNC machine tools, it can reflect different CNC systems; for general machine tools, it can reflect the variants of the same model of machine tools.

(8) Enterprise code: When the production unit is a machine tool factory, it is represented by the capital Chinese phonetic letters of the city where the machine tool factory is located and the sequence number of the factory's establishment in the city, or the capital Chinese phonetic letters of the machine tool factory's name.

2. Model compilation of special machine tools

1) Method of indicating the model of a special machine tool The model of a special machine tool generally consists of the design unit code and the design sequence number, and its indication method is:

2) The design unit code includes the machine tool manufacturer and machine tool research unit code (located at the beginning of the model), see Appendix A of the Metal Cutting Machine Tool Model Compilation Method (GB/T15975-1994).

3) The design sequence number of a special machine tool is arranged according to the design sequence number of the unit (starting from "001"), located after the design unit code, and separated by "-", read as "to".

For example, the 100th special-purpose machine tool designed and manufactured by Beijing No. 1 Machine Tool Plant is a special-purpose milling machine, model B1-100.
